Jess graduated from the University of South Wales in June 2020 with a first-class honour’s degree in Law/LPC. Jess studied a new course that combined the traditional law degree with the legal practice course which allowed her to complete her studies a year earlier.
After achieving impressive module results in criminal law and family law at University, Jess knew that she wanted to practice in these areas of law.
Jess joined the firm in December 2020 as a trainee solicitor and has gained experience in both the family and criminal law departments. She spent 1 year in the family department dealing with both public and private children law matters, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Jess is now working in our criminal department, alongside Stefan, on a variety of matters including Magistrates Court trials and police station attendances. Jess is hoping to practice in both criminal and family law upon qualification and hopes to achieve her police station accreditation in the near future.
Jess has settled in well at BRG&P and is a respected and much valued member of the team. We have no hesitation in concluding that Jess has a bright future ahead of her in the areas of Family and Criminal Law.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys reading, Netflix, baking and long walks around the Welsh countryside.
