Chartered Legal Executive

Merlene is experienced in advising clients on divorce, financial settlements and children disputes. 

She also has extensive expertise in drafting prenuptial, postnuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements. With a clear and practical approach, Merlene helps clients understand their legal options so they can make informed decisions and achieve the best possible outcome.

Education and Career History

Merlene qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive specialising in Family Law in 2023. Before this, she worked as a self‑employed County Court Advocate, appearing in over 400 hearings before more than 150 judges across England and Wales.

She completed the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School in London, and achieved a 2:1 LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of the West of England, Bristol. During her studies, she volunteered with Support Through Court in both London and Bristol, supporting individuals navigating the court system without legal representation.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Merlene enjoys boxing. She is also a Level 2 England Boxing Coach at Weston‑super‑Mare Amateur Boxing Club.
