Ruth Berry

Managing Partner, Executive Head of Practice

Ruth is an experienced solicitor and partner who specialises in Residential Conveyancing. 

After completing her legal studies in Bristol, she first joined Berry Redmond Gordon & Penney in 1989. She later took a career break to focus on her growing family, during which time she also gained a teaching qualification, before returning to the firm in 1998 and qualifying as a solicitor.

Ruth became a partner in 2003. Having previously worked in family law for several years, she now focuses exclusively on residential conveyancing, offering clients clear, practical advice and a reliable, reassuring approach to their property transactions. Her longstanding connection with the firm and deep experience within the local area make her a trusted adviser to a wide range of clients.

Ruth also plays an important role in the firm’s compliance structure, acting as both COLP and MLRO.

With her children now grown and living independently, Ruth enjoys making the most of her spare time. Outside of the office, she can often be found in her garden, walking her dogs, practising yoga, or helping her partner Mark on the farm.
