Donation Drive: Supporting Survivors in Our Community
In January, Berry Redmond Gordon & Penney paralegal Natalie launched a heartfelt community initiative that we are proud to showcase. After receiving various unwanted personal care items over Christmas, she saw an opportunity to give back. With determination, Natalie organised a donation drive within the firm, inspiring colleagues, friends, and family to contribute. The response was incredible, resulting in the collection of over 200 items.
These generous donations were delivered to VANS Domestic Abuse Recovery Service (DARS). They will be used to create gift bags for survivors of domestic abuse, as well as just general luxuries. It is a small but meaningful gestures of support for individuals on their path to recovery. During the visit, Natalie met with Tours and Thalia from the domestic abuse support programme. They shared how these items would be distributed to survivors after therapy sessions, adding a personal touch to the recovery process. This conversation also shed light on the vital role DARS plays in the community, reinforcing the importance of initiatives like this.

Natalie’s efforts have not only made a difference to those in need but have also established a promising new partnership between BRGP Law and DARS. Their work supporting domestic abuse survivors and other vulnerable groups is invaluable, and we are excited about the potential for future collaboration.
