In support of Andy’s Man Club, we’ll be climbing Wales’ three major peaks in 24 hours, combining physical endurance with a mission to raise awareness of men’s mental health.

On 21st June 2026, my brother and I will be taking on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, an endurance event that involves summiting Snowdon, Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan within a 24‑hour period. Covering three of Wales’ most iconic mountains, the challenge combines physical effort, logistical planning, and teamwork to complete all ascents and descents within the time limit.

The Welsh Three Peaks involves:

  • Snowdon (1,085m) – the highest mountain in Wales and the first peak for many participants.
  • Cadair Idris (893m) – a demanding and steep climb located in the south of the Snowdonia National Park.
  • Pen y Fan (886m) – the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons and the final summit of the challenge.

The event typically covers around 17 miles of hiking with approximately 2,300 metres of total ascent, alongside around 130 miles of driving between the mountains. Completing all three within 24 hours is a significant test of fitness and resilience.

Why We're Raising Funds

This year’s challenge is in memory of our dad, who passed away five years ago. To mark the occasion in a meaningful way, we are supporting Andy’s Man Club — a charity dedicated to reducing suicide rates and improving mental health outcomes for men across the UK.

About Andy’s Man Club

Andy’s Man Club provides free, confidential peer‑support groups for men, aiming to break down stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health. The organisation has rapidly expanded since its founding in 2016, offering safe spaces where men can talk openly without judgement.

The funds raised will help the charity continue its vital work, opening new groups and supporting communities across the country.
